We are excited to introduce MultilingualPress 4.8.0, the latest version of our robust WordPress plugin for managing multilingual websites. Toolbar Language Switcher for Connected Sites

The latest version of MultilingualPress introduces a Language Switcher menu that remains visible across all subsites, both in the back-end and the front-end when the administrator is properly logged in.

This switcher consistently allows seamless navigation between language-specific subsites. For example, if you are editing a particular section on one subsite, the switcher enables you to effortlessly redirect to the same section of a different language subsite linked to the original.

This feature significantly streamlines the process of updating content and site settings. Administrators no longer need to navigate multiple intermediate steps to locate the same section in another subsite. You can ensure efficient and consistent management across all language subsites with just one click.

Synchronize media library data from core blocks to remote site’s media library

With this new version, the functionality for creating a new post based on an existing one from a connected subsite has been further expanded.

The “Copy source content” option, available via a checkbox within the post creation metabox, now goes beyond merely copying the original content while maintaining links to media in the source subsite’s media library. It also duplicates the media files into the destination site’s media library and updates the links accordingly within the copied content on the destination site.

This improvement ensures a more seamless and independent content replication across subsites, making managing and updating multimedia-rich posts easier.
